He has held senior roles at WesBank (FirstRand Bank), Absa Private Bank, Bidvest Bank, and Ernst & Young, with deep expertise in credit and risk management, financial analysis, strategic advisory, and banking operations.
At Bidvest Bank, Christopher held multiple roles including Credit Analyst. He conducted rigorous financial analyses for lending applications, developed risk models, and provided strategic recommendations to management on facilities ranging ranging up to USD 580m.
During his tenure at WesBank, Christopher contributed as a Senior Credit Analyst, overseeing deal flow management, internal governance, and pricing strategies across a wide range of lending sectors. He conducted comprehensive financial, industry, and business analyses, negotiated facility terms with C-suite executives, and prepared detailed proposals for approval by credit committees. Christopher's focus on governance, compliance, and process optimization enhanced efficiency and strengthened internal frameworks.
At Ernst & Young, he served as a Manager in the Banking and Capital Markets division, where he gained extensive experience with Tier-1 European and US investment banks. He has worked at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank as part of the Leveraged Finance Origination / Sponsor Coverage team, where he led origination, underwriting, structuring, and distribution across Technology, Business Services, and Education sectors.
Prior to Barclays, Samir was a Director in Leveraged Finance at Bank of America, focusing on leveraged finance origination and distribution across High Yield Bonds and Leveraged Loans, particularly sponsor-backed LBOs. He began his career as an Equity Derivatives Trader at Morgan Stanley, gaining strong market experience in equity derivatives. Samir holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Kingston University and a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from City St George's, University of London.
Keatan Rasmussen Kaul - Associate Director
Keatan previously gained experience at M&G Investments, one of the UK’s largest and longest-established investment houses, with over 90 years of history and more than £343 billion in assets under management. During his time there, he worked closely with traders and fund managers to understand both long-term and short-term investment strategies, including value investing for sustained growth and momentum-based trading approaches.
